Psychoeducational Assessments are often sought to provide a comprehensive understanding of a student's functioning and skills related to their academic development and performance.
Psychoeducational Evaluations, like all those offered by CNS, are tailored to the concerns of the school, caregivers, and/or student. An evaluation may include assessment of cognitive abilities, academic skill development, and social-emotional functioning. Results may determine , for example, whether a specific learning disability or other factors (e.g. underlying attention weaknesses, executive dysfunction, social-emotional challenges) may be affecting a student's academic progress. If previous testing has been completed, reviewing those findings will be an important piece of the evaluation. Should your child's school have already completed elements of an evaluation, we are happy to expand upon their findings if you or they still feel there are unanswered questions or persisting concerns. A note about insurance: Your insurance carrier may not cover testing if they consider it to be educational rather than behavioral. You should contact your insurance company and ask about your out-of-network behavioral health benefits. |
