Neuropsychological Assessments evaluate and provide information about an individual's cognitive capacities (e.g. intelligence), attention, executive-functioning, memory, problem-solving abilities, visual-motor skills, learning, and social-emotional functioning. The findings are used to better understand one's strengths and weaknesses for the purposes of guiding educational decisions and therapeutic interventions. For example, an evaluation may be sought due to symptoms of inattention, disorganization, problems starting or completing tasks, forgetfulness, trouble multi-tasking, developmental delays, or in order to understand the influence of medical issues on cognition. |
